Check which emoji is you? | Happy World Emoji Day 17th July

"A picture worth a thousand words."

Today is World Emoji Day, friends. This day was first celebrated on July 17, 2014 when the founder of Emojipedia, Jeremy Burge announced that July 17th will be observed as World Emoji Day. Above I started this blog with a quote, Today we are all in love with emoji from parents to sons and daughters, from boyfriends to girlfriends to grandparents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors, these little pictures are deeply ingrained in the dialogue of our daily lives. Emoji is a Japanese word. Emoji meaning pictograph or pictogram. In today's world we use plenty of emojis like: laughing emoji, heart emoji, thumbs up emoji, crying emoji, kissing emoji and sometime poop emoji as well.

What we used to do when we didn't have a smartphone was to use punctuation marks to make small pictures. Remember friends? Let's talk about a small history of Emojis. The ancestral smiley face ":-)" was first used by computer scientist Scott E.Fahlman for online board work. Then in 1997, Shigetaka Kurita created an emoji set with 16 icons for the Japanese phone carrier - DOCOMO.
