1. In her childhood Sindhu didn't have the intention of becoming a badminton player as she told in an interview. Things started to change when the victory of Pullela Gopichand in the All England Open Badminton Championship in the year 2001. Her time pass sport became her passion and it was at the age of 8 that she seriously started practicing the sport.

3. Sindhu was so focused that here is small story of her training days. She used to cover a one-side distance of 30 km every day from Marredpally to Gawchibowli in the day twice making for 120kms of travel and all that getting up at 3am and reaching the academy at 4am. We salute her dedication !
4. PV Sindhu's father PV Ramana was a professional Volleyball player. He was awarded the Arjuna Award for his excellence in the game of Volleyball. Her mother, P.
