This time, the first Sunday is today on August 1. The day is dedicated to the importance of friendships and to the friends. It is celebrated across several countries. It was first proposed in Paraguay in 1958 as International Friendship Day. The United Nations finally declared July 30 as the official International Friendship Day. In India as mentioned at the starting it is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of August.
